Selena Salfen lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she happily arrived in 2013 after living and working in Chicago and New York. Selena loves making environmental portraits and documentary style photography, but has photographed everything from food to interiors to some of her favorite musicians. She is informed by 10+ years of photographing for clients such as American Standard DXV, Chicago Magazine, and Interscope Records, as well as her experience exhibiting her documentary projects at the Camera Club of New York, the Center for Fine Art Photography, SOHO Photo Gallery and more. In addition to photographing, Selena is inspired by working with the next generation of enthusiastic photographers, and has taught photography at the State University of New York Westchester, the School of Creative and Performing Arts (SOCAPA), and Minnesota’s Hennepin Technical College.
